Welcome to the second half of 2024. We congratulate Elaine Lazarus for her elevation from Interim Town Manager to Town Manager of Hopkinton. The change in status is recognition by the Town of the excellent work Elaine has done as Interim, as well as her decades of service in the Town as its Director of Land Use, Planning and Permitting, and we are certain that Hopkinton has made a wise decision. 

We also want to give a huge shout out to Ciara Barber. How many of you have visited all 351 cities and towns? Well, nine-year-old Ciara has done so, taking almost a full year to finish her tour. If you had the pleasure of hosting Ciara at your municipal hall, we would love to hear from you about your interaction. Check out Ciara’s Instagram account too, it may even feature your Town or City Hall. We hope that Ciara’s passion encourages other young people to consider local government service.
