New Air Regulation for Large Entities and Their Vehicles

DEP adopted a new regulation 310 CMR 7.41: Large Entity Reporting Requirement, that became effective on September 1, 2023. The regulation requires large entities to submit a one-time report on medium- and heavy-duty (MHD) vehicles greater than 8,500 lbs. operated or dispatched in Massachusetts. This regulation applies to school districts and municipalities that had one or more vehicles over 8,500 lbs. Emergency vehicles are exempt.
