DLS Bulletin 2024-6, Regarding Changes to the Tax Title Foreclosure Law
DOR’s Division of Local Services has released a bulletin that summarizes changes to the law to account for the constitutional requirement that excess equity upon the sale of real estate pursuant to tax title foreclosure must be returned to the property owner. While it is imperative that municipalities comply, the legislature may delay the effectiveness of the change until July 1, 2025. Stay tuned.
