Thomas J. Harrington
Thomas J. Harrington has been advising municipal and other public sector clients in a variety of settings for over 30 years. He serves as lead Town Counsel for several of our client Towns, and provides guidance and counsel to Select Boards and administrative leadership. He also represents various municipal light plants and departments.
Tom concentrates his practice on issues related to general municipal law, public real estate acquisitions and dispositions, eminent domain, conservation restrictions and “Chapter Land” related issues. His also advises our clients on Open Meeting Law, Public Records Law and State Ethics Law issues, and all aspects of Town Meetings.
Tom has been a panelist at the Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions (MACC) Annual Meeting, and was a member of the Sherborn Conservation Commission for five years. He has also served on the Advisory Board to the Community Environmental Program of Roxbury Community College. Tom has been an elected Town Meeting Member and an elected member of the Wellesley Recreation Commission.
Tom earned a BA degree cum laude from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York, and a J.D. from the Northeastern University School of Law.
